How many types of elevators or lifts?
* There are usually many types of elevators.
But in practical terms, there are two types of elevators.
1. Passenger lift
2. Goods lift
1. Passenger lift: An elevator in which people travel is called a passenger elevator or passenger lift.
2. Goods lift: The lift in which goods are carried is called goods lift or goods elevator.
* There are also many types of elevators depending on the structure.
Such as capsule elevator, dumbwaiter lift, escalator lift , bed lift, scissor lift etc.
* Depending on the lift door, the lift has different names like manual door or collapsible door lift, automatic door or auto door lift, swim door lift, telescopic door lift etc.
* Also depending on the machine room of the lift, the name of the lift is MR (Machine Room) lift, MRL (Machine Room Less) lift.
* There are also several other types of lifts such as hydraulic lifts, ropeways, crane, out door lifts etc. These are all types of passenger lift or goods lift.
